If you are headed up to the Sacandaga area, be sure to stop and visit some of the best family owned stores, gift shops and retail stores that the Adirondacks have to offer.   In nearby  towns and villages such as Gloversville, Johnstown, Wells and Northville you can find antiques, roadside yard sales and treats for the kids.  All around the Adirondack Park there are many talented local artisans and artists that offer the opportunity to take home a piece of the Adirondacks in the form of paintings, wood carvings, Adirondack chairs, rustic furniture, and other whimsical pieces.

Camping & RVs

If you are planning a camping trip stock up on camping gear and supplies, hiking boots, and hunting and fishing supplies to make the most out of your camping trip.  If roughing it isn’t your thing, why not bring the luxury of your home to the great outdoors with an RV,camper or pop-up.  Many of the campgrounds in the Adirondack Park can accommodate even the largest models.

Boating & Fun On the Lake

A visit to the Adirondacks wouldn’t be complete if you didn’t get out one of the beautiful lakes.   If speed and excitement is what your after stop by to any of the area’s boats & watercraft dealers or rent a boat or jet ski for the day at one of several Sacandaga Lake marinas.

Shopping Around Town

Looking for something different than camping or outdoor recreation?  Visit neighboring Gloversville or Johnstown to find family owned jewelry stores to shop for that perfect engagement ring or take a ride to look at the area’s real estate.  Wether buying a home or looking to make your home more beautiful, find great deals on furniture and home furnishing, or stock your closet by visiting the area clothing & outlet stores to find that perfect pair of shoes or hiking boots.  Before heading back to the campsite stock up on groceries and food supplies or stop by one of the local wine stores or wineries.
