Some of you may have been wondering, “So, what’s that thing at the bottom of my screen?” The bar that appears on every page of this website is called the Meebo bar. It’s a neat little tool that allows easy access to all of your social media accounts right here on Sacandagalife.com!
There are a few different features of the Meebo bar. Here’s a quick summary of each feature to get you started:
Sharing Articles and Images
The first button on the bar (the “Share Page” button) allows you to easily share the page you are on via Facebook, Twitter, Google Buzz, Yahoo!, and your email. You can share a link to your current page in addition to a personal message from anywhere on Sacandagalife.com! Also, If you want to share specific images and/or text, you can do so by hovering over an image and dragging it, or by highlighting a bit of text and clicking the Meebo button that will appear.
Twitter, Like, and Digg
If you haven’t already found us on facebook, you can “Like” us with one click, and you can also view our tweets instantly! To share your current page on Digg, all you have to do is click the “Digg this” button on the Meebo bar.
RSS
If you want to be notified whenever we publish a blog article, subscribe to our RSS feed. Simply click on the RSS button and click on “Subcribe Now.”
Contests
Though not always present, we will occasionally add a button to the Meebo bar that links to our current contest or giveaway. Keep an eye out for new events!
Chat
This is one of the coolest features of the Meebo bar. It allows you to chat through Facebook chat, AOL Instant Messenger, MySpace IM, and Google Talk simultaneously. All of your contacts from each account you log in with is added to one big friends lists. It saves your conversations as you go from page to page, much like Facebook chat, so you can browse the website without losing a conversation. You can also share content and pages of Sacandagalife.com through your chat conversations!
Once you log in to your accounts through the Meebo bar, you won’t have to log back in unless you use a different computer. All of your settings are saved, making it a convenient way to share content and chat with friends. Try it out for yourself and let us know how you like it!
