Piseco Lake

Piseco Lake is located north of the Great Sacandaga Lake, about 15 miles west of Lake Pleasant. The lake is one of the largest in the area, at 9 miles long with depths of over 100ft. Two state-run campgrounds with beaches and boat launches are located on the lake. Piseco also has a small airport, which presents a great opportunity for visitors to catch a birds-eye view of this spectacular area.

Oxbow lake, a much smaller, neighboring lake can be accessed from Piseco lake by canoe or kayak. This lake is much smaller, only about 15 feet deep at it’s deepest point. This quiet lake is great for relaxing and fishing, although the lake is mostly home to pickerel, small-mouth bass and sunfish. If you’re feeling adventurous, see if you can find the rope swing on the northern shore!
