Micropolis Art Gallery Special Reception

Micropolis Cooperative Art Gallery will be celebrating both Valentine’s Day and Mardi Gras with a special one-day event on Friday, February 10. On display will be a new selection of original artwork by co-op artists Linda Batchelor, Michele Drozd, Susy Easterly, Alexandra Higgins, Linda Hinkle, Michael Intrabartola, Nancy LaPorta, Pavlos Mayakis, Lynda Naske, Judy Olson, Ellen Rae Panero, and Judith Plotner. Find something special for your sweetheart, or treat yourself! Unique Valentine cards and Mardi Gras masks, along with fine handcrafted jewelry will be in the gallery and available for sale. Guest artist Stan Plotner will be in the gallery between 11:30am and 7pm to present his collection of one-of-a-kind silver jewelry. Stan’s work has been exhibited nationally as well as in Japan, Australia, and Canada, and in museums including the Museum of Contemporary Crafts in New York City. To conclude the day a “Meet the Artists Reception” will be held between 5 and 7pm. The event is free and open to the public. Micropolis is located inside Mohawk Harvest Cooperative Market, 30 North Main Street, Gloversville.
